To promote academic research, enhance teaching quality, and publish scholarly books and journals, Tamkang University established the Tamkang University Press in August 2002 under the Office of Research and Development.

The Press centrally manages publishing-related affairs of the University, including assisting faculty members and departments in applying for International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) and International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN), handling the publication and distribution of the University’s journals, and managing the authorization, outsourced printing, and distribution of academic monographs, textbooks, and other scholarly publications.
